Lumber Street Property Acquisition
Macungie Memorial Park Board of Directors is pleased to announce they have acquired a 1.6 acre parcel of land between Lumber Street and Mountain Creek as an addition to the western side of the Park. This gives the Park land on both sides of Mountain Creek.
The purchase was made possible by a loan that now needs to be repaid. Please consider donating to the Park to assist with paying back the loan. The Park is a 501(c)(3) charity and any donations are tax exempt!

The Park is looking forward to creating a plan for the use of this new area and welcomes community input plus donations to assist with repayment of the loan. Come out and look at this new area of the Park and look forward to enjoying it as the Park develops a plan.

Macungie Memorial Park Association is a private, non-profit organization that manages and operates the Macungie Memorial Park, providing a place for the social, cultural and recreational advancement of the regional community.

We rely on revenues from our events and shows, rentals of our building and pavilions and donations from generous people like you to keep our Park beautiful for generations to come. Macungie Memorial Park is a 501(c)3 organization meaning your donations are tax deductible. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Park Board Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM downstairs in Memorial Hall. The Park Association extends an open invitation to all borough and neighboring residents to enjoy another exciting summer of activities at Macungie Memorial Park. The park is operated and maintained without the support of local tax monies. Therefore, volunteers are the backbone of Macungie Memorial Park. Many of the special events planned during the year are made possible only because of the dedicated efforts of park volunteers. The need for volunteers increases every year. With many new people moving into the community, we invite you to become an active volunteer and help support our beautiful park facility. A few hours of your time to help serve refreshments at one of the many functions scheduled this season would be greatly appreciated. All proceeds from the sale of refreshments are used for park improvements and maintenance. To include your name on the volunteer list, please call the park office at (610) 966-4289. Newcomers are welcome! A perfect way to get to know your neighbors and become involved in a worthwhile community effort! |
